2007 Results

A new venue, a similar number of entries to 2006 and another difficult task for the judges.

The ALL FORD DAY COMMITTEE wish to thank all volunteer judges, as well as all Club members who assisted greatly with their diligence and efforts. Their time was greatly appreciated and steps are being taken to acknowledge and repay the efforts of all future volunteer judges for the upcoming ALL FORD DAY 2008.

A special mention to our "guest judges" from the National Motor Museum, Birdwood, and guest judges Pete Balaam & Peter Worth from the HSV Owners Club of SAwho kindly donated their time to assist with both the Blue Ribbon and late model Performance Ford classification judging.

The standards were high and the vehicles diverse, so congratulations to all the winners in all classifications.

Because there have been some queries regarding the judging and awards, some explanation may be warranted.

There were three types of awards given during the day plus the "BEST OF BLUE-RIBBON " Award. (Best of previous award Winners from 2005)

These awards are based on points allocated by independent judges who are ONLY looking for the best presented vehicle in terms of the lack of blemishes. (ie. cleanest, tidiest & best condition). We do not care (and no points are awarded for) how many modifications have been done or how original the vehicle is or how much money has been invested.

The other important point is that to receive an award, each entrant has to score a minimum of 70% of the maximum points available, so it is not just a matter of having the only car in class. To win an award, the vehicle has to score well, which makes every winner a most worthy winner.

a) CLASS WINNER - (TROPHY)
This trophy is given for BEST VEHICLE OF CLASS. (eg Class: 9 - GT Falcon - all Sections Winner)

b) CERTIFICATE OF MERIT - (CERTIFICATE)
This Certificate is awarded to the RUNNER-UP VEHICLE OF CLASS. (eg Class: 9 - GT Falcon - all Sections Runner Up)

c) SECTION AWARD - (CERTIFICATE )
This Certificate is awarded to the BEST VEHICLE FOR EACH SUB-CLASS. (eg Sub-Class: 9a - GT Falcon XR-XY)

d) BLUE RIBBON - (3 TROPHIES )
These trophies are awarded to the BEST THREE VEHICLES IN BLUE RIBBON. (Winner through to 3rd Place)
